The Connecticut Intellectual Property Law Association (CIPLA) is pleased to announce that we will be welcoming Professor Janet Freilich of Fordham University School of Law on October 17, 2017 at the Graduate Club, located at 155 Elm Street, New Haven. The reception will begin at 6:00 pm and dinner at 7:00 pm. 

Professor Freilich will present on “An empirical analysis of prophetic examples in patents.” Ms. Freilich’s research concentrates in patent law, with a focus on the life sciences. Her research has been published in several periodicals, including the Iowa Law Review, the SMU Law Review, the Stanford Technology Law Review and the Harvard Journal of Law and Technology. She has been acknowledged as an innovator in the field of intellectual property and has won the Samsung-Stanford Patent Prize, as well as the Irving Oberman Memorial Award in Intellectual Property. In addition to Prof. Freilich’s extensive research, she has previously served as a Patent Litigator and Prosecutor at Covington & Burling LLP.
