The Connecticut Intellectual Property Law Association (CIPLA) is pleased to announce that in conjunction with Open World, a Congressionally-sponsored international exchange program, and the Rotary Club of New Haven that we will be welcoming a group of Delegates from the country of Belarus. The Belarussian’s Delegation will be at Cantor Colburn LLP’s Hartford office, located at 20 Church St, 22nd Floor on October 31st at 3:00pm

CIPLA members are invited to attend this rare opportunity, which is being provided free of charge.  

Open World is the largest international exchange program within the legislative branch of the federal government. All Open World delegates are competitively selected and vetted by the U.S. Embassy due to their promising career trajectory, and their potential for positive collaboration with U.S. entities following the program. These emerging leaders are experts in the field of intellectual property rights, specifically in Belarus and many European countries. Additionally, these delegates are available to establish contacts with U.S. organizations that are interested in protecting their intellectual property rights in Belarus, and in improving the overall intellectual property infrastructure of the country.

At the meeting, Taylor Coon of Cantor Colburn LLP will present an overview of US intellectual property practice, including trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. This presentation will begin at 3:00pm at 20 Church Street, 22nd Floor.
