CIPLA is pleased to welcome Administrative Trademark Judge Catherine D. O’Connor for a dinner and conversation held at the Elm City Club on September 17, 2025.
Judge O’Connor was appointed to the TTAB in 2024. Prior to joining the TTAB, Judge O’Connor was a partner at Day Pitney and clerked for Hon. Denny Chin (SDNY). While at Day Pitney, Judge O’Connor’s practice focused on IP litigation and IP counseling and strategy for clients ranging from start-ups to large multinational corporations, such as the LEGO Group of companies. Judge O’Connor obtained her B.S. from the University of Connecticut and her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law.
During the presentation, Judge O’Connor will discuss TTAB statistics as well as provide attendees with her “best practices” and insights based on her experience from both private practice and her time on the Bench.
The program will begin at 6pm with a social hour, followed by dinner and Judge O’Connor’s presentation and discussion. There will be time provided for question and answers. The program will conclude around 9pm.
