December 8, 2016 CIPLA Meeting

Event Details

The Connecticut Intellectual Property Law Association (CIPLA) is pleased to announce its third meeting in the 2016-2017 schedule. We are welcoming author, lawyer, and producer, Ron Fierstein.

Mr. Fierstein has enjoyed a long career in the entertainment industry managing recording artists and the business and legal interests of his brother Harvey Fierstein, and co-producing the hit Broadway musical Kinky Boots. He started out as an intellectual property attorney at Fish & Neave where he was on the team of litigators representing Polaroid in its epic patent battle with Eastman Kodak over instant photography technology.

Mr. Fierstein will speak about his experiences on this case as chronicled in his book, A Triumph of Genius: Edwin Land, Polaroid, and the Kodak Patent War.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at the Elm City Club (formerly Graduate Club) in New Haven.

Please RSVP by December 2, 2016 on the CIPLA website, or by emailing CIPLA Program Chair Ben White at bwhite@ssjr.com.
